Chairman's Address

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to unveil TTFZ’s 3 year Strategic Plan 2011-2014.  As the gateway to global business and investment opportunities, TTFZ encourages both foreign and local investors to establish manufacturing, international trading and services operations within Free Zones across Trinidad and Tobago. The administration of Trinidad and Tobago’s Free Zones is critical in facilitating export development and foreign investment projects to drive new investment, job creation and foreign exchange in Trinidad and Tobago.

The mandate of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) towards the development of a Knowledge Intensive Economy, dictates the necessary alignment of TTFZ’s Strategic Initiatives to those of the Ministry. In this regard, the TTFZ Strategic Plan has incorporated key elements of the National Strategy – 7 Pillars for Sustainable Development. TTFZ must continue to engage its Strategic Partners across the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and Private Sector to fulfill this mandate.

The strategic planning process engaged the Board of Directors and Management Team in understanding the national mandate and priorities to inform the specific projects highlighted in the 2011-2014 Strategic Plan.

The Board of Directors supports the management team in its drive towards the effective implementation of the 2011-2014 TTFZ Strategic Plan.

Sincerely,

Chairman
