APPLICATION PROCESS

• Once initial discussions and perusal of the business plan suggest that prima facie, the project satisfies the requirements of the Free Zones Programme, it is recommended that the applicant visit the Intercontinental Business Park Free Zone at Red Hill, D’Abadie to discuss leasing space in the Free Zone.  The normal step would be the incorporation of a company to undertake the actual activity and submission of a formal application to the Free Zones Company, together with relevant documentation.

• Once all documentation has been satisfactorily completed and submitted to the Free Zones Company, processing/approval of an application for an enterprise to carry out an activity in an existing Free Zone can usually be completed within four weeks.

• Approved enterprises are required to enter into agreement with the Free Zones Company with respect to the operation of the enterprise in the Free Zone, including security, customs, record keeping and annual license fee arrangements.
